Giving back to the community is at the heart of August Electronics’ values. In 2024, we were honored to support numerous local organizations and causes that align with our mission to create a better Calgary and beyond.
Supporting Vital Causes
This year, our team participated in the Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women, raising funds for life-saving cancer research. Cancer has touched the lives of many within our team and community, and this event was a meaningful way to come together and contribute to a greater cause.
We also had the privilege of fundraising for the Terry Fox Foundation, an organization close to our hearts. Terry’s enduring legacy of hope and perseverance inspired us to amplify our efforts and raise awareness about the importance of cancer research.
Collaborating with Local Organizations
In collaboration with SockRocket, we helped bring much-needed warmth to underserved communities by donating socks—thanks to their incredible model of donating three pairs for every pair purchased (yes, we got some socks too!). Partnerships like this highlight the collective power of businesses and non-profits coming together to create meaningful change.
Hosting Memorable Fundraisers
One of the most fun and impactful events we hosted this year was the Pie the Managers fundraiser for Parachutes for Pets. Watching team members gleefully pie their managers—while raising money to support pets in need—was a perfect blend of laughter and philanthropy.

The Annual Stampede BBQ remains a highlight of the year, bringing our team together for a day filled with camaraderie, great food, and shared memories. It’s not just about the BBQ—it’s about reinforcing the bonds that make our workplace feel like family.
Seasonal traditions like the Pumpkin Carving Contest and Easter Egg Hunt added joy and excitement to the workplace. These moments of levity remind us of the importance of celebrating milestones—big and small.
Creating a Culture of Recognition
This year, we introduced an Anniversary Wall to honor employees for their dedication and contributions over the years. By showcasing the milestones of both new and tenured team members, we’ve created a meaningful tribute to the individuals who drive our success.
Innovation and Growth
Innovation has always been a cornerstone of August Electronics, and 2024 was no exception. This year, we took bold steps to upgrade our facility, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of our products.
Upgrading Our Facilities
As part of our commitment to advancing electronics manufacturing, we’ve added a Delta PVA Conformal Coating Machine to our facility. This investment enhances our capabilities, delivering greater precision, protection, and reliability—especially for products in the automotive, industrial, and energy industries.
Also, the addition of two more ASM Pick-and-Place Machines has changed the way we approach production within our four SMT lines. These machines are designed to handle complex manufacturing processes with speed and accuracy, ensuring that our clients receive nothing but the best.

EPTECH and PCB West
Closer to home, we attended EPTECH events in Calgary and Vancouver, solidifying our local presence and building connections within the Canadian market. At PCB West in Santa Clara, we had the opportunity to engage with professionals focused on printed circuit board design and manufacturing.
